Messenger Sprites

These cute little fellows are part of larger collection I am making. They are Messenger Spirits! Or something.
They started out as doodles in my Environmental Science class, and I just got really into doing the tiny little details that I ran away with the idea! The smallest is the cat, and (s)he is a little bit smaller than my thumb. The tallest is the bird, and (s)he is about 3 inches tall!

I say (s)he because I never designed most of them with a gender in mind. For the most part, they are genderless. Some of the others I have done, who aren't included here, do have specific genders, but none of these guys do!

The clothing was done in marker and gel pens, and where it appears gold or silver it is actually metallic! It is a shame that that does not carry the same shiny affect digitally.

The animals they are are these: a fox, a rabbit, a dog, a cat, and a bird of some sort.

The others I will add a deviation of soon, and they are an elephant, a rooster, a peacock, and a gazelle of a sort. Unfortunately, it may be a while before they are added, because the rooster is on semi-permanent display at my school right now! He's been up since this time last year, so I should be able to get him back soon, and then I can upload the rest!
